The Japan U.S. Military Program (JUMP) connects past and present service members, families, and government civilians who have served in Japan. Through social networks and events, JUMP builds relationships and provides opportunities for service members to engage with each other.
With a short deadline established, the ultimate challenge was to have in place new branding, design, identity and a fully functional website for Sasakawa USA second security forum featuring Prime Minster of Japan, Shinzo Abe.
Similar to the organization, JUMP's new brand had to be bold and different, featuring a strategy that could deliver easily the core message of the US-Japan alliance. Also taking into consideration, the logo design was to take on many responsibilities within many communication and marketing materials. An identity that could adapt well, and create impact during events, forums, etc.
Although at first the logo feedback was varied, the attributes associated with it were positive; clean, unique and modern, combining a palette that clearly defined the organization. Once incorporated with design peices, the overall response was extremely positive!
As the primary focus for JUMP is to build relationships, it was clear that the new website focus on providing information to a wide audience associated with US-Japan alliance. The site would provide information aggregated from various sources in combination to event listings, areas of interest and social media networks.
As with most modern websites, a functional website should display well on all devices and desktops. JUMP's responsive design layout met that objective, in combination to providing superior performance and speed .
Some of the best brands and identities evolve, accruing its meaning over time. Time4design believe we have built this solid foundation, and have created positive start for the JUMP nonprofit organization.
